Organiser's Description

RACE STARTS AT 10.30 am

Race numbers will be collected ON THE DAY at registration

Registration will be open from 8.30 am at the Clatto Centre, Clatto Reservoir.  If the event is not full, then a limited amount of on-the-day entries will be available, at £20 for both SA and non-SA members.

The START:  Please remember that the race starts on Templeton Road and is about a mile from the Registration.  Please allow yourself plenty of time to find car parking, register, and find your way to the start.  There will be signs pointing you in the direction of the start from the Registration centre.

Changing:  Please arrive ready to run - there will be no changing facilities.  There are no showers available. There will be a room to leave kit in, but the organisers will not accept responsibility for loss of, or damage to belongings left there.  There will also be a bag drop at the start, so kit can be returned to the finish line. Please do not take any bags to the start line. We will only have provisions for transporting extra warm clothing back to the finish for you.

Car Parking: Limited car parking is available at the Clatto Centre, but parking is available on the approach road.  Please follow the directions given by the car parking stewards and please have consideration for the local residents.  There is also a small car park at the Templeton Woods Nature Hut off Templeton Road, near the start (where we have our annual Trail Race), and car parking is also available at Camperdown Park.  These options are around 1-1.5 miles from the start.

Route and Water Station:  The route is accurately measured and follows mainly a clockwise loop until the last mile back through the woods.  Marshals will be present throughout the route at key points. , There will also be directional signage and mile markers, so you should not get lost. There will be two water stations at approximately 3 miles and 7 miles. Water will also be available at the finish.

Timing: Timing is not chipped and places awarded on gun times

Headphones:  Roads are not closed during this race, and in keeping with UKA rule 240 S5 we ask runners not to wear in-ear headphones unless medically prescribed.  Bone-conducting headphones are permitted.

First Aid:  Active First Aid Scotland will provide first aid cover on the day.

The Finish is in the small field by the registration centre.  When you come back down by the side of the houses, you will be directed left into the field, where you will have about 100m to run to the clock.

Time Limit: All runners must complete the course within 2 hours.

Refreshments: Hot and cold drinks and our wonderful spread will be available in Clatto Centre. Please remember to bring your own cup/mug.
