Templeton 10 Mile Road Race

RACE STARTS AT 10.30am
Race Numbers to be collected on the day.
If you failed to fill in your age on the entry form you are classed as aged 20-39. If you fail to list a club, you will be assumed to be unattached and not eligible for any team prizes.
There will be a goody bag containing a surprise Templeton 10 momento, and other gifts for all finishers.
Registration will be open from 8.30am at the Clatto Centre, Clatto Reservoir , where numbers can be picked up for those who have pre-entered. If there are fewer than 300 pre-entries then a limited amount of on-the-day entries will be available, at a £2 premium ie £18 for SA Members and £16 for non-SA members.
The START: Please be reminded that the start to the race is on Templeton Road and is about a mile from the Registration. Please allow yourself plenty of time to find car parking, register and then find your way to the start. There will be signs pointing you in the direction of the start from the Registration centre.
Changing: Changing facilities are extremely limited so please arrive ready to run. There are no showers available. There will be a room available to leave kit in, but the organisers will not accept responsibility for loss of, or damage to belongings left there. There will also be a bag drop at the start, so spare kit can be returned to the finish line. Please do not take any bags to the start line. We will only have provisions for transporting extra warm clothing back to the finish for you.
Car Parking: Please car share where possible as there is limited car parking available at the Clatto Centre itself, but parking is available on the approach road. Please follow the directions given by the car parking stewards and please have consideration for the local residents. There is also a small car park at the Templeton Woods Nature Hut off Templeton Road, near the start (where we have our annual Trail Race). However, you would then have to jog through the woods to registration and back to the start again.
Route and Water Station: The route is accurately measured and follows mainly a clockwise loop until the last mile back through the woods. Marshals will be present throughout the route at key points as well as directional signage and mile markers. There will be one water station about the halfway point.
First Aid: St Andrews First Aid will provide First Aid cover on the day.
The Finish is in the small field by the registration centre. When you come back down by the side of the houses you will be directed left into the field where you will have about a final 100m to run to the clock.
Refreshments: Drinks will either be hot or cold depending upon availability of suitable equipment on the day.

Active Root will be available before and after the race. They produce ginger based sports supplements to help settle your stomach. Find out more about them at http://www.activeroot.co.uk/
Results: Results will be published via our website, Scottish Athletics website and various facebook sites etc about 48 hours after the race.
Prizes: It is hoped to start the presentations at about 12.15 by the marquee, or in it depending upon weather conditions. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: Male & Female 1-3, M & F Vets’s (40’s) 1-3, M&F Vets (50’s) winners, M&F Vet’s (60’s) winners, M&F Vet’s (70’s) winners and 1st Male and Female teams (3 to count). Only one prize per person, and prizes will be shared about! (note: clubs must be stated on entry form to be eligible for team prize, no club details will assume you are unattached).
Goody Bags will be given to all finishers which includes a surprise Templeton 10 momento, and gifts from our supporters
Spot Prizes: There may be a number of good spot prizes from local businesses, given out as you finish.
Transfer of entries/Withdrawals: We've all been injured and lost out on prepaid entry fees at some point, so we'll try to help out here. If you want to transfer your entry or withdraw, you can, providing you do it before the closing date of 30 October. If you wish to transfer your entry to someone else, then you may do so as long as you provide full details of your replacement before the closing date. You will have to come to some form of agreement with your replacement re payment though, as we won't refund you. If you wish to withdraw, then we will refund your entry fee (less the Entry Central charge), as long as you do so before 30 October. There will be no transfers or refunds after this closing date.
