The 2024 edition of the Run With The Wind 10K will be held over an out and back route to the north of Strathaven (the same as 2023). It will take you through rolling farming countryside on quiet and undulating roads.  Details of the route may be found here: https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/5522332246/. The route has been officially measured and the 10k distance verified.  

The race HQ and registration will be in the Barrie Shelter in Strathaven Park (ML10 6NB).   We will utilise the Barrie Shelter for registration, changing, toilets, post event refreshments and prizegiving.  There is  ample car parking in the public car parks throughout Strathaven.

Registration will take place from 08.30 at the Barrie Shelter and the race will start at 10.00.  Registration will close at 09.50 prompt to allow transition to the start line which will be near to Kirkland Park School.   Marshalls will be in place to guide runners to the start line.

The race will be chip timed and race results posted on the chip timers' web site within 24 hours of the race completion. All competitors will receive a refreshment and momento at the finish.   In an effort to keep entry costs as low as possible there will be no finisher T shirts, however, a limited number of T Shirts will be available for purchase at race HQ.  Given adverse weather on the day the race may be rescheduled with as much advance notice as possible.

Prizes will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female runners overall and to first place male and female in each of the age group categories.  The race results will also provide overall and age group positions.

The race is a Scottish Athletics Permit Event - under UK Athletics Rules

All entries must be made through Entry Central by the stated closing date. There will be no entries on race day.
