The 2023 edition of the Run With The Wind 10K will be held over a new out and back route to the north of Strathaven. It will take you through rolling farming countryside on quiet and undulating roads.  Details of the provisional 2023 route may be found here:https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/5522332246/. The new route will be officially measured and the 10k distance verified.  Note that the route and race HQ  are different to that used last year due to the previous venue becoming unavailable.

The race HQ and registration will be in Strathavan Academy (ML10 6DP).   We will utilise Strathaven Academy for registration, changing, toilets, post event refreshments and prizegiving.  There is  ample car parking in the public car parks throughout Strathaven.

Registration will take place from 08.30 at Strathaven Academy and the race will start at 10.00.  Registration will close at 09.50 prompt to allow transition to the start line.   Marshalls will be in place to guide runners to the start line.

The race will be chip timed and race results posted on the chip timers' web site within 24 hours of the race completion. All competitors will receive a technical T shirt or Tree donation (refer below), hot soup/roll and other goodies at the finish. Given adverse weather on the day the race may be rescheduled with as much advance notice as possible. 

Tee or Tree? You may opt for us to make a donation to Trees for Life rather than receiving a T Shirt.  The donation will be equivalent to the cost of a T shirt and will fund a single tree in the Strathaven Striders Grove.  We are aware that many of you have a drawer full of T shirts and may prefer to make a contribution to the environment rather than adding another T shirt to your collection. If you would prefer this option simply select 'Tree for Life' when asked for your T shirt size. Trees for Life is a charity with a vision to revitalise wild forest in the Highlands of Scotland, providing space for wildlife to flourish and communities to thrive (https://treesforlife.org.uk).

The race is a Scottish Athletics Permit Event - under UK Athletics Rules

All entries must be made through Entry Central by the stated closing date. There will be no entries on race day.
