The 2026 edition of the Run With The Wind 10K will be held over an out and back route to the north of Strathaven (the same route used since 2023). It will take you through rolling farming countryside on quiet and undulating roads.  Details of the route may be found here: https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/5522332246/. The route has been officially measured and the 10k distance verified.  

The race HQ and registration will be in Strathaven Bowling Club (ML10 6DP).   We will utilise the Bowling Club for registration, changing, toilets, post event refreshments and prizegiving.  There is ample car parking in the public car parks throughout Strathaven but note that there is no car parking available at the Bowling Club or adjacent Leisure Centre.

Registration will take place from 09.00 at the Bowling Club and the race will start at 10.00.  Registration will close at 09.50 prompt to allow transition to the start line which will be near to Kirkland Park School.   Marshalls and pipers will be in place to guide runners to the start line.

The race will be chip timed and race results posted on the chip timers' web site within 24 hours of the race completion. All competitors will receive a refreshment and momento at the finish.   This year we are re-introducing the award of a T shirt as a finisher memento - please remember to add your size when you sign up. 

Prizes will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female runners overall and to first place male and female in each of the age group categories.  The race results will also provide overall and age group positions.

Given adverse weather on the day the race may be rescheduled with as much advance notice as possible.

The race will be held under UK Athletics rules and is a Scottish Athletics Licensed Event.

All entries must be made through Entry Central by the stated closing date. There will be no entries on race day.
