Floors Castle, Kelso 10k

SUNDAY 12TH July 2026 at 10.45am (Please note day change)

We are once again delighted to be holding the Kelso 10k  entirely in the grounds of the fabulous historic and scenic grounds of Floors Castle. We had so much positive feedback from runners and their supporters over the years that we are very much looking forward to hosting this event again. The castle and its grounds are owned and managed by the Duke of Roxburgh.  The course is best described as a mixture of road and trail. Some sections are uneven and there may be some loose stones or broken patches in places. After heavy rain the ground may be soft and slippy in places.

RUNNING NUMBER: You will be issued with your race number at registration. Registration will take place at Floors Castle, Roxburgh Street, Kelso, TD5 7RL, at the Terrace Cafe to the right of the main castle.

FACILITIES: Changing and toilet facilities will be available  Bags may be left in one of the tents available on the day, at the owner's risk.  

DRINKS & REFRESHMENTS: A water station will be situated just before the 5km marker and water shall be available at the finish. Refreshments will be available after the race in Floors Castle courtyward on production of your number. Non runners will be able to purchase refreshments.

PRIZES:  Medals and goodie bag for all finishers.  

OTHER INFORMATION:

This race is held in conjunction with Kelso Civic week celebrations (11th-19th July). Why not stay for a weekend break or week? There are loads of family events on that week and on the day of the race there is a family day in Shedden Park. Kelso also hosts a Parkrun every Saturday morning. Kelso 10k is a running event, and although we appreciate you may need to walk at times, please do not enter if you intend to walk the whole distance. 

There is a time limit of 1 hour 45 minutes after which the course will start to be dismantled.

Please note we are unable to offer refunds.

The course is not suitable for runners pushing buggies or pushchairs.

The course is not suitable for runners with dogs.

The wearing of headphones is not permitted during this race.
