Port Talbot Harriers are proud to announce the 2026 edition of the GV70.Tri - Wales’ best value Middle-Distance Race which is friendly, very welcoming and aimed at athletes of all abilities especially those trying out the longer distance for the very first time. We would like everyone to complete the full course but you can choose how much you complete as there will be no DNFs.

The race will consist of a 2 Lap Sea Swim, a 2 Lap Bike Course and then a pancake flat 3 Lap Run. We have a Relay Option so everyone can get involved. All you need to do is give it a GO and you will get that all important bit of bling. We have the following cut off times to protect the marshals and if we think at any time you are struggling we will remove you from the course and bring you back to the finish line.

Cut Off Times - Swim - 1hr 10, Swim & Bike - 5 hrs, Finish Time Cut Off - 7 hrs 45 mins. All profits will be donated to local charities and good causes in Neath Port Talbot.

The Teleri Mia Mini Mile race.

The Teleri Mia Mini Mile is being setup to help support families affected by the loss of a child from the moment of conception, with no upper limit. All proceeds from the entries will go to the Teleri Mia Foundation.

If for whatever reason you are unable to take part due to financial reasons, please reach out to Teleri Mia Foundation on Facebook or Instagram, as arrangements will be made so no child will miss out if they want to take part. 

Entry is £10 (+ booking fee) per child. There are 3 distances available

• Dinas
  This will be 200m for children up to 7 years old and will need to be accompanied by an adult (we encourage all parents/guardians to take part). Please note that sourcing very small T-shirts might be difficult but every child will receive something from the Teleri Mia Foundation for taking part.
  
  
• Foel
  This 800m race will be 1 lap around the Little Warren playing fields for children between 7 and 9 years old. Each child will need to be accompanied by an adult.
  
  
• Afan
  The Mini Mile route consists of 2 laps of the Little Warren playing fields and is for children who are 10 or 11 years old.

Aberavon Surf Lifesaving Club Junior Aquathlon

After a successful return of a swim-run event held on Aberavon Beach we are proud to announce the 2026 edition. Open to age groups from TriStar 2 up to Junior. The event will be a beach start with the swim held in sheltered open water with a raised pier for spectators. The run element is a flat coastal run.

The event distances are

• TriStar 2/3 (Ages 11-14) will have a 300m swim followed by a 1200m run
• Youth A/B & Junior (Ages 15-19) will have a 600m swim followerd by a 2000m run

The event is running alongside the GV 70.tri middle distance triathlon and Teleri Tens Mini Miler event, therefore there is something available to all ages and abilities on the day. Parking (both free and paid) is available nearby along with toilet facilities and refreshments. 

Timeline of the day will be

• 0800 - Registration
• 0900 - Race Briefing
• 0925 - Race Start
