Babcock Shettleston 10K
Babcock 10K Series
Postponed Until May 2021. If you cannot make the new date please request a refund through email@example.com
A decision has been taken to postpone this year’s Babcock 10k Series from May until next year. This decision was taken based upon advice from the Scottish Government and in turn Scottish Athletics. It also takes into account the fact that local authorities have cancelled all bookings for their facilities for the foreseeable future and the need to protect the resources of medical service providers and the emergency services for greater priorities.
All entries will be carried forward to the new dates and anyone unable to take part as a result of the change in dates can request a refund or a rollover to next year’s series.
Your support and understanding are much appreciated.

As in 2018 the third and final race of the Babcock series will see a new addition to the established races in Helensburgh and Dumbarton. The Babcock Shettleston 10km will run over a traffic free course around Glasgow Green and along the River Clyde. The Green contains historical buildings such as the People's Place and the Royal Doulton fountain. These will provide an impressive backdrop to the event.
The course is flat and ideal for personal best performances. It will see the athletes leaving the Green and following the River Clyde before crossing the new Cuningar Bridge into the Clyde Gateway park at Shawfield before returning to the Green for the finish.
Ample parking and public toilets are available around Glasgow Green. Race headquarters and start will be near the Glasgow Green Football Centre.
The Babcock Shettleston 10K is now open to runners aged 16 years or older.
