Gartmorn Trail Race
Course
Approximately 6 miles / 10km, the course offers road speed and trail adventure; a mix of surfaces and some great scenery. The woodland paths and dam and hill views make for an enjoyable race experience.
Start & Finish: The race begins and ends on a quiet public road with minimal traffic, giving you an opportunity to stretch out for a fast start and finish.
Into the Woods: Approx 1/2 mile / 800m from the start you will turn onto a narrow off‑road trail that winds through trees, offering shade should the spring sunshine be out. You will make your way across some small bridges ensuring that the terrain is ever changing.
Around the Dam: You will exit the woodland trail on to the path around Gartmorn Dam, with some fantastic views of the nearby Ochils.
Return Journey: After approx 3 miles / 5km around the dam, you will head back through the woodland trails before rejoining the quiet road for the final stretch to the finish line.
Safety & Support: While roads and paths remain open to the public, marshals will be stationed at key points to guide and encourage you throughout the course.
