Before you enter, there’s a few things to know.

Race Route: 7.2 km, 510m ascent

The route traverses the iconic three Eildon Hills with a start/finish in Gibson Park, Melrose, TD6 9SA.  Some of it’s a bit lumpy, so you’ll need a good pair of trail shoes.

The route will be fully marked and our team of marshals, and the Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team, will be on the hill should you need any help.  There is no cut-off time to complete the race.

What do runners need to carry?

All runners should carry a whistle in their pocket and if the weather forecast is poor, we will be asking that you carry a waterproof jacket (and so you’ll need something to carry it in). 

There will be no water provided for runners on the hill, so if it’s hot we advise you carry some with you.

Scottish Athletics Members receive a £2 discount on the entry cost. (Please ensure your membership is up to date). The race will be run Under UK Athletics Rules and is a Scottish Athletics Licensed Event.
