**ENTRIES OPEN 30th SEPTEMBER 2025 8pm**

The race is an officially measured and certified by Scottish Athletics road marathon based in the Outer Hebrides on the West coast of Scotland. The start is at Lochboisdale Marina on the Island of Gasay and the finish is at the Dark Island Hotel, Isle of Benbecula.

The race can be run as a Solo, Pair or teams of 3 of 4.

There are 4 legs between 5.8 miles and 7 miles in length with 3 changeover checkpoints (Checkout the Pairs / Team Entry section for Relay runners).

There are also the Community Teams which are made of names who have entered under the individual category but are not running the full distance, all the names in this category are drawn at random to make up a team to cover the 4 leg distance. You do not have to be a local to enter the team draw, the draw takes place 1 week before race day.  There is a separate prize Category for the Community Teams. The Community team has no gender related categories as the draw is totally random, however, there are 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd placed team prizes.

There are Solo prizes for 1^st,2^nd and 3^rd Male & Female along with various Vet categories. There is no “traditional” team prize for first 3 from the same club for example.

If you are a Solo entry and find closer to race day you are unable to complete the 4 legs, you can convert your entry to a member of the Community draw and run either 1 or 2 legs instead as part of randomly drawn Community Relay Team.

THE RACE HAS A CUT OFF TIME OF 6HRS, ANYONE WITH A PREDICTED FINISH TIME OF 5HRS OR MORE HAS TO HAVE THE EARLY START TIME OF 9am RATHER THAN 10am.
