Organiser's Description
**ENTRIES OPEN 30th SEPTEMBER 2025 8pm**
The race is an officially measured and certified by Scottish Athletics road marathon based in the Outer Hebrides on the West coast of Scotland. The start is at Lochboisdale Marina on the Island of Gasay and the finish is at the Dark Island Hotel, Isle of Benbecula.
The race can be run as a Solo, Pair or teams of 3 of 4. There are 4 legs between 5.8 miles and 7 miles in length with 3 changeover checkpoints.
There is also the Community Teams which are made of names who have entered under the individual category but are not running the full distance, all the names in this category are drawn at random to make up a team to cover the 4 leg distance. You do not have to be a local to enter the team draw, the draw takes place 1 week before race day. There is a separate prize Category for the Community Teams.
There are Solo prizes for 1st,2nd and 3rd Male & Female along with various Vet categories. There is no “traditional” team prize for first 3 from the same club for example.
There are Male, Female and Mixed categories for Pairs, and teams of 3 or 4, 1st place only.
The Community team has no gender related categories as the draw is totally random, however, there are 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed team prizes.
THE RACE HAS A CUT OFF TIME OF 6HRS, ANY TEAM WITH A PREDICTED FINISH TIME OF 5HRS OR MORE HAS TO HAVE THE EARLY START TIME OF 9am RATHER THAN 10am.

**ENTRIES OPEN 30th SEPTEMBER 2025 8pm**
To enter as a Team of 4 – you are running 1 Leg each.
Each runner's details are required. Runner #1 will be classed as the "Captain" for any changes e.g. a change of runner or change of Category, you change from a All Male team to a Mixed Team for example.
Any such changes will have to be approved via Entry Central and unapproved changes or any after the closing date will make you ineligible for a Prize.

**ENTRIES OPEN 30th SEPTEMBER 2025 8pm**
To enter as a Team of 3, you can either split the 4 legs cross 3 runners or use a friend who is running as a Solo who can also run the 1st Leg Only as part of your team (he/she tags Team member #1 at Checkpoint 1 and they carry on as normal on their Solo race). If you are using the Solo option their name needs to be added in the comments box when entering as a team of 3.
To Clarify:- to use a Solo, they have to enter on the Solo / Community individual tab and the Team enters as a Team of 3, which is 4 runners total.
To enter as a Team of 3 only, means one of the runners is doing 2 Legs and the others a Leg each.
Each runner's details are required. Runner #1 will be classed as the "Captain" for any changes e.g. a change of runner or change of Category, you change from an All Male Team to a Mixed Team for example. If applicable the Solo runner also counts towards the Gender Category.
Any such changes will have to be approved via Entry Central and unapproved changes or any after the closing date will make you ineligible for a Prize.

**ENTRIES OPEN 30th SEPTEMBER 2025 8pm**
To enter as a Pair, you can either run 2 legs each (roughly a half marathon) or a 3 Leg / 1 Leg spilt.
Each runner has to enter their details, runner #1 will be classed as the "Captain" for any changes e.g. a change of runner or change of Category, you change from a Male Pair to a Mixed Pair for example.
Any such changes will have to be approved via Entry Central and unapproved changes or any after the closing date will make you ineligible for a Prize.
