Organiser's Description
New for 2026 - Timber Trails!
6 miles of trail running around Bromsgrove countryside
We’re excited to announce our brand new event ‘Timber Trails’ on Sunday 5th July 2026.
Timber Trails is so called as most of the route is run off road in countryside nearby to Timberhonger Lane. It is a picturesque route with a number of testing hills, suitable for both first timers and experienced runners. The route starts in the large field at Sanders Park, near Bromsgrove town centre, with runners making their way along Whitford Road, before turning right onto countryside public footpaths. Arrows and marshalls will guide participants around the 6 mile course, before returning back to Sanders park and the finish line.

No refunds, defers or transfers are available
How long is the route?
This is a 6 mile multi terrain loop that is more challenging than running on the road. It takes at least an extra 20% effort/time to complete. It’s mostly trails with stiles, kissing gates, fields and woodland. There's a couple of small sections on the quiet roads around Timberhonger Lane (no road closures).
Are there any water stations?
Yes, at approx 5K and at the finish. Please do not discard any plastic bottles or gel wrappers etc on the route. In order to reduce waste onsite we recommend that you bring your own hydration.
Do I need trail shoes?
Trail shoes are usually recommended but it depends on the weather at the time. Check up-to-date weather forecasts to decide. There are some steep banks and muddy sections.
Are there any age limits?
Entrants must be 15 or over and accompanied by an adult on the course.
Will you post out my run number?
No, you will receive your number at registration onsite.
Can I run with my dog?
Yes, but only one dog per runner and they need to be kept under control, on leads and away from the livestock on the course at all times. There are plenty of stiles to test your dog's agility! Some of them have “dog doors”, many don’t, so if your dog isn’t particularly agile, or you’re unable to lift them over, the route may not be appropriate. Please make sure you have poo bags and dispose of them responsibly.
Are there toilets onsite?
There will be a range of single toilets, urinals & accessible toilets near the start and finish, as well as the toilets already at the park by the cafe.
Are there bag drop or changing facilities onsite?
There are no bag drop or changing facilities provided. The car parks are very close to the start & finish line.
Will there be any food or drink available?
There is a café in the beautiful grounds of Sanders Park.
Will I receive a medal and time?
All finishers will receive a medal and an official time. Results will be published on our website and Facebook within 48 hours.
