The Railway Relay

A fun, team relay race from Peterhead to Ellon.

A rural traffic-free route on the Formartine and Buchan Way

(a shared use path on the old railway line)

Nine relay legs from 2-4 miles each (totalling ~27 miles).

Sunday 2nd August 2026

Start waves from 1000-1200h.

Please note that teams NEED a car driver to shuttle them between legs, or alternatively the team can navigate the legs by bicycle.

Entry Fee :  £40 per team (teams of 3, 4 or 5)
***One entry per team; there is no need to enter each individual runner***
Over 18s by default.  Under 18 participants may be possible
by special arrangement.  Contact the Race Director.

At the finish:

- A FREE beer or soft drink for every team member (driver included) -

- Free food buffet -

- Finisher's medal -

All team members should report to the Race Director 15-30 minutes before their starting time.
