The Cambus Quarter

29 Aug 2021

The Cambus Quarter has now closed and you will not be able to sign-up for it. Please check the Organiser's Description for any organiser updates.
This event is in a testing state, and is not open for public sign-ups until the organiser has launched it.

Organiser's Description

The race is run over an accurately measured 6.5 mile course. The race is NOT closed to traffic during the race but marshals will be at any significant road crossings. Please comply with all instructions from marshals. They are there primarily for you and your fellow competitors' safety!  If a marshal says stop then stop!

The race starts in Cambus village and does an anti-clockwise loop along the trail banks of the river forth around farmland before returning to the start on tarmac path where you will again pass through the village. Continuing on a clockwise loop past Cambus Pools Nature Reserve, through Blackgrange, past Diageo and across the level crossing before heading back to the finish line along the old A907 and Cambus Cycle Path. The route is flat and a mixture of road and trail (road shoes would probably be best suited).

There will be marshals positioned at the level crossing, they are there for your safety.  YOU MUST OBEY ALL INSTRUCTIONS!  Anyone not obeying all safety instructions and stopping when told to do so will be disqualified.

Please remember the route is not closed to the public and we do not have right of way etc. so please be courteous and sensible when passing members of the public and DO NOT drop any litter on the route. Take it with you to the finish, thank you

Timing will be done with paper, pen and stopwatch.  There will always be inconsistencies between a stopwatch and your own GPS watch.  We will be as accurate as humanly possible and our timekeepers' decision is final.
