SPEYSIDE WINDFARM CHALLENGE

We have 3 events to choose from: the Trail Half Marathon;  the 10K; and 1 Mile Kids Run.

The event is organised and run by charities: Knockando Primary School parent Council and Knockando Community Multisport and Tennis Club with aims to improve local education and provision of sports.

The Robertson Trust will be match funding the event too so every £1 will become £4 (this include donations).

RACE DATE

Sunday 8th September

REGISTRATION

Registration will open at Margach Hall, Knockando (AB38 7RX) at 10 O'clock. Participants who have pre-registered will need to collect their race numbers from registration before the relevant event(s). On the day entry will be available at a higher price (cash only).

Please get to Registration 30 mins before your event starts to allow time to register and get to the start line near Kirdelbeg Farm (AB37 9BS), about 2 miles from the Hall.

11:00 - Trail Half Marathon

12:00 - 10k

12:15 - Children's 1 mile

You must be over 16 to take part in the half marathon or 10k. The course is exposed to the elements and you should dress according to conditions.

The childrens race is a flat out and back along an empty tarmac road.

AID STATIONS

There will be a water station and marshals at the top of the main climb. There will also be marshals dotted around the loop part of the half marathon course and at the bottom of the final descent before the flat stretch to the finish.

FINISH 

Once you cross finish and recover, it's time to head back to Registration for sandwiches, cakes, teas and coffees and the prize giving.
