The Best Trail Races in Scotland!

SILVER SANDS COASTAL TRAIL RACE at ABERDOUR on SUNDAY 4th OCTOBER 2026 - RACE STARTS AT 11:00am

ALL ABILITIES WELCOME - A NOVICE FRIENDLY EVENT!

The race distance is approximately 4 miles and is an out & back route on a stunning section of the Fife Coastal Path between Silver Sands & Burntisland. The path is well established and consists mainly of good quality trail with some tarred sections. It is fairly flat with a few gentle undulations. It runs through some wooded areas but it also has some stunning sea views.

All finishers will receive a RACE MEDAL

PLEASE NOTE - All entrants are allowed FREE PARKING at the Silver Sands Public Car Park during the race but you MUST enter your vehicle registration number during the sign-up process. 

Prizes - As well as first 3 Overall Male & Female we also have prizes for 1st Male & Female in the following age categories - Over 40, Over 50, Over 60 & Over 70. 

Spot Prizes - To be won but you'll need to be there to win one!

RACE HQ - Number pick-up from the Beach Ranger's Office which is adjacent to the public toilet block at Silver Sands Beach. Please come ready to run as there are no changing facilities. Postcode for Sat-Nav KY3 0XB *Please do not use the Cafe toilets which are for customer use only*. 

PLEASE NOTE: Strictly NO PARKING in the Beach Front Car Park. This is reserved for Cafe customers and disabled visitors only. 

Please be respectful and considerate to all competitors, race officials, volunteers and members of the general public using the Coastal Path.  

We rely on the goodwill of the local community to put on these events so please help us by sticking to the rules.

PRE-ENTRY ONLY

Sorry we do not offer refunds or deferrals but we do allow free race entry transfers up until 7 days before the race. All transfer details should be arranged between the runners involved before notifying the Race Organiser of any name changes.

Under NO circumstances whatsoever should you run with another person's bib number. 

BEFORE ENTERING: Occasionally we may have to alter the race route and distance due to severe weather or other unforeseen reasons. If any of the races are cancelled due to severe weather conditions or any other unforeseen circumstances then we will reschedule that race to a later date.

Our events are insured and permitted by the Governing Body Association of Running Clubs and are held Under ARC Rules.
