RESOLUTION 5k RUN 2026

The Route

Builth & District Running Club's Resolution Run 5k has been held for a number of years and growing in popularity.  The race is run mostly within the Royal Welsh Showground and takes advantage of their facilities.  NB. Note that amendments have been made to the route this year.  The small hill of past years is no longer included which provides a flatter surface with better PB potential. We are sure the race will be of interest to all runners wanting to start the new year with a fast time.

Parking

There is plenty of parking on hard standing at the Showground. Please follow signs and marshals' directions.

Entry Fees

NB.  We have held entry fees at the 2025 level:

In advance  £12.00 (UKA affiliated), £14.00 non-affiliated).

On the day accepted at £14 (affiliated, £16 non-affiliated). BUT....  there is a limit to the number of runners so please register early to avoid disappointment.

Advance entries will close at 8pm on Friday 23rd January.

MINIMUM AGE: 11 years on day of race (under 18 requires parent/guardian consent)

Timings

9:30 - Registration to collect race numbers and on the day entries open

10:30 - Registration closes

10:30 - Guided one loop warm up round the course  

10:50 - Race briefing at the start

11:00 - Race starts

Prizes

First three men and women; first man and woman in age categories (excluding first three runners overall) Under 17, V40, V45, V50, V55, V60, V65, V70+.

Results

Chip Timing from Ready, Set, Go

Results will be published on our website  https://builthanddistrictrc.com/the-resolution-run/   and Facebook page  https://www.facebook.com/BuilthRC/  as soon as possible after the race is completed.

Results will be loaded to Run Britain/ Power of 10.

Race Licence  via Welsh Athletics.  Licence Number to be confirmed 

Prize Giving

To take place promptly after the last person has finished.

Facilities

Car parking and toilets on site. Refershments will be available. 

Transfer and Deferral

Note that we will be unable to accept requests for refund, transfer or deferral once you have signed-up.  In the case of event postponement your entry will be carried over to the new date.
