3km Young Athletes Race plus 3km Fun Run

This race will start at 9.15

Min age 4 on day

The 3km Young Athletes Race is open to boys and girls that are in either the Under 13 or Under 15 age group AND are registered with England Athletics*. All other enrtants will be considered as Fun Run entries. Parents are permitted to run with their children in the fun and are not required to enter.

*Registration is required to be valid on 27th September 2026

This is the 40th year of New Marske Harrriers, we thought we would reflect some local history during that period, so the 2026 Event Tshirt features Redcar Blast Furnace in the background which opened in 1979, at the time it was the second largest in Europe. The furnace stopped production in 2015. This photo was taken shortly before in was demolished in 2022. The runner in the foreground on the beach is based on an article in Runner's World 1997 featuring Tony Livingtson who is now a vice president of New Marske Harriers.  

All HM & 10k entrants will receive a Tshirt included in the entry fee, but for 2026 we offering the facility for additional Tshirts to be purchased in advance.

Please note: we have used our entry system's best option for selling the Tshirts, this will not ask for age/gender information but the names are referred to as Parent/Carer's names BUT THIS MEANS YOUR NAME
