Perth 10k Festival
26 Aug 2018
The Perth 10k and Kids Fun Run offer a great challenge along scenic routes on the banks of the River Tay. The 10k race is well known for being flat and fast and so a great place to get a PB.
Both the 10k and Fun Runs support inclusiveness and aim to encourage those new to running to come and give them a go. Our ethos is "first or last, it's the same finish line". While there is a competitive edge to both races, we would like to encourage everyone to come and take part and support all runners from those doing their first event to those who have been running all their lives.
We believe every running journey must start somewhere so why not start it at the Perth 10k or Fun Run
The Perth 10k will take place at 11am on Sunday 26th August 2018
RACE START POINT The race will start and finish on the North Inch in Perth

Perth 3km Fun Run - £5

Perth 10km COURSE
The race goes anti clockwise around the North Inch before following the riverside pathways towards the A9. At the railway bridge turn left long the path running parallel with the railway line towards Arran road and Muirton Industrial Estate. Once on Arran road keep left on the path until the junction with Arran Road and Bute Drive. Turn left and head along Bute Drive to Riverside Church and then left towards the football pitches and rejoin the riverside path before heading back to the North Inch, retracing the path you came out on, and on to the finish line
A map of the route can be found at www.perth10k.co.uk
Marshals / Water
Marshals will be at strategic areas around the course to ensure runners safety and correct direction. A manned water station will be located at the 5km mark. It’s the responsibility of runners to ensure that they are fully hydrated before the start of the race.
PARKING There is limited parking at Bells Sports Centre on race day due to another event on the same day. Runners and families are strongly advised to use the car parks within the city center area, which are only a short walking distance from the start/finish. All runners parking in the surrounding streets to Bells Sports Centre are asked to avoid blocking driveways of local residents. Be aware that parking attendants will be patrolling the surrounding area.
Remember there may be lots of people around as well as runners using the parking area as a warm-up track so please drive carefully.
