The Moray Marathon & The Chilled 20 Mile Race
Two brilliant running events on the same day for the North of Scotland! The Norths only Scottish Athletics measured 20 Mile Race.
Sunday 4th April 2027
Starting point and registration : Morriston Track, Morriston Playing Fields, Haugh Road, Elgin, IV30 1AW
15 min bus ride to the start line in Roseisle for the Chilled 20 Mile from Morriston Playing Fields
The Moray Marathon & Chilled 20 are Scottish Athletics approved events, and a qualifying marathon course, all on road. The event is not a closed road race.
Scottish Athletics has issued the Race Organisers with a permit to hold the race which under the Terms and Conditions stipulate that:
- Runners taking part in the Marathon/20 Miler must be over 18 years old on race day.
- The course is unsuitable for wheelchairs.
- Running with buggies or pets is not permitted.
- Headphones must be bone conducting headphones.
- No "on the day" entries are permitted.
- Marathon- 7 hour cut-off (anyone who believes they will finish OVER 5 hours, please email as you will be in the first wave at 7am to receive maximum support) 20 Miler- 4.5 hour cut off.

The Chilled 20 Mile

Registration/Bib Collection : Morriston Track, Morriston Playing Fields, Haugh Road, Elgin, IV30 1AW. Saturday 3rd April 2:30-7pm, Sunday 5th April 6:30am-7:30am.
Bus Pick Up- Moray Leisure Centre Car Park- board from 7:45am, Leaves 7:50am
If you do not get the bus to the start, and get checked in on the bus, you will NOT be allowed to start the race. Everyone must get to the start line via the bus, this is a safety issue for the marathon runners already out on course, and a licensing issue.
Plenty of toilets at the start line for this race in the hall.
The Chilled 20 Mile Race is a Scottish Athletics approved course all on road. The event is not a closed road race. The race begins at mile 6.2 of the Moray Marathon route in Roseisle and joins the marathoners 10km into their race! You will race to the same finish line as the marathoners back at Morriston Running Track.

Awards for Top 3 Males, and Top 3 Females only. Awards given on GUN TIME not CHIP TIME so please align yourself accordingly at the start line.

You can take one SMALL drop bag to the start line- please leave them in the village hall and they will be brought back to the finish. We accept no liability for belongings. Leave what you can back at the finish line before getting on bus.
