Meldrum Messy Run

Join us for a fun, messy and colourful obstacle run in the grounds of Meldrum Primary School. 

This is open to all over the age of 3 and is definitely not just for children. Only those who have signed up will be allowed on the course, so if you think your child will need someone to run alongside them you must also sign up (it will ask for your age but just type 00 for adults who might not want to disclose this information). 

The run route is just less than 1km in the grounds of Meldrum Primary School and will be run on a mix of concrete and grass so please wear suitable footwear. During the run you will complete various obstacles (appropriate for all ages) whilst coloured powder is thrown at you leaving you very colourful and messy by the time you reach the finish line!  The colour easily washes off but please make sure you wear old clothes that you don't mind getting messy. There will be 6 run waves with limited spaces available in each wave, therefore, if you would like to run with friends please make sure you sign up at the same time to avoid disappointment. Wave start times are 12noon, 12.30pm, 1pm, 1.30pm, 2pm and 2.30pm with registration opening from 11am. No entries on the day. Entries close on 25th of April 2024.

As well as the Messy Run we will have various food trucks including Pizza Box Scotland and Little Miss Whippy, Teas and Coffees, Candy Floss, fun warm ups/ workouts provided by James Kelly PT, temporary tattoos and face painting. 

Please note this is not a timed event and there will be no places awarded, however all runners will receive a goodie bag including sunglasses and sweets and all finishers will receive a handmade wooden medal. 

All funds raised will go towards school funds and in particular purchasing a new sound system with any remaining money going to playground upgrades.   Parents/ carers will be responsbivle for their children at all times whilst attending the event.
