The Longside Loop 10 mile race and Junior Mile.

Saturday 4th May 2024 at 11:00
Organised by Peterhead Athletics Club under UK Athletics rules. A Scottish Athletics permitted event
As it stands (and subject to change), the planned schedule for the day will be:
- 09:00 - Registration opens for all events.
- 09:45 - Junior under-12s and under-16s to gather at church hall and walk to the start.
- 10:00 - Start of Junior Mile under 12's race.
- 10:10 - Start of Junior Mile under 16s race.
- 10:30 - Junior prizegiving
- 10:40 - Seniors to gather at church hall and walk to start.
- 10:55 - Pre-race briefing
- 11:00 - Start of Longside Loop 10 mile race.
- 13:30 (approx) - prizegiving
If there are any changes in the schedule we will inform you prior to the day.
Please note terms and conditions of entry:
- To enter the race, entrants must be
- Eligible to compete under SAL rules and willing to abide by those rules.
- Aged 16 years or over on the day of the race.
- Physically fit to run 10 miles
- Entries for participants under the age of 18 must be made by a parent or legal guardian
- All runners participate entirely at their own risk. The race organisers (Peterhead Athletics Club) and their associates shall not be liable for any accident, injury, loss or damage arising as a consequence of any runner’s participation in the race.
- Submitting an entry to the race authorises Peterhead Athletics Club to
- use the runner’s e-mail address to send information about the Longside Loop 10 miler and
- use for promotional purposes pictures of the entrant taking part in the Longside Loop 10 mile race or prize-giving
- Entries are not transferable
- Entries may not be deferred to a subsequent year
- Entrants have the right to cancel and receive a refund for any entry made over the Internet as long as that is done within 7 days of the original entry date.
- No other refunds will be made except in the event of the organisers deciding to cancel the race.

This event is open to runners aged 16 years or older. Before entering, please note the race entry terms and conditions shown on the event website.
Registration and post race refresments served at Longside Church Hall.
The start is about a 5/10 minute walk from Longside Church hall, going up Station road past the golf course. There will be signposts and guides to show the way. The route takes in some of the beautiful scenery of the Buchan countryside and finishes along the old railway line into Longside village.
PRIZES FOR:-
1st Overall Male and Female and then;
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd male in seniors, V40, V50 and V60 categories
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd female in seniors, V40, V50 and V60 categories

This event is open to runners aged 12 to 15 years. Before entering, please note the race entry terms and conditions shown on the event website.
Registration opens at 09:15 for senior and junior events
The start is about a 10 minute walk from Longside Church hall, going up Station road past the golf course and on to the liney on the Peterhead side.
