Cut off

We are a very friendly and welcoming club, many people use this event for their first triathlon or first open water triathlon. We have never had to stop anyone from completing the event due to time, however, for the double distance there is the expectation that you can complete the swim in 1 hour. Be able to cycle the bike course within 3 hours and complete a 10 km run within 90 minutes.

For the sprint distance there is the expectation that you can complete the swim within 45 minutes. Be able to cycle the bike course within 1 hour 45 minutes and complete a 5km within 50 minutes.

These are very generous times and are in place to ensure waves can start on time, adeqaute water cover is in place and that entrants have the required basic level of fitness.
