Organiser's Description
Kirrie 10K
Gateway to the Glens
We invite you to enter the Kirrie 10K race which will be held on Sunday 6th September 2026 at 11:00am.
Set in the heart of Angus, the Kirrie 10K – Gateway to the Glens offers runners a warm welcome to the historic town of Kirriemuir and the beautiful countryside that lies at the gateway to the Angus Glens.
This friendly, community-focused race starts and finishes at the Peter Pan playpark in Kirriemuir and takes in a scenic loop on quiet rural roads. Runners will experience a true taste of the area, with rolling hills, open farmland, and views towards the glens making this a rewarding and memorable 10K.
The course is undulating rather than flat, providing an honest challenge for experienced runners while still being accessible to those stepping up to the distance. Expect a mix of steady climbs, fast descents, and opportunities to take in the surroundings along the way.
With strong local support, a relaxed atmosphere, and excellent organisation, the Kirrie 10K is ideal for:
- Club runners looking for a competitive outing
- Newer runners taking on a slightly more challenging 10K
- Anyone who enjoys a scenic, well-supported race
Race highlights:

- Supportive, community atmosphere
- Testing but enjoyable undulating profile
