The event takes place on Sunday 23rd August 2026.

The event consists of:

24 spaces for team event (24 teams with 3 per team)
150 spaces for the individual triathlon (swim, cycle and run) event
30 spaces for the Adult Aquathlon (swim and run) event
30 spaces for the Junior Aquathlon (swim and run) event

Heat and lane positions will be e-mailed to all participants no later than Friday 21st August 2026.

Triathlon Team event:

Half Mile Swim (24 lengths)

10 Mile Cycle - Gourock Pool to Bankfoot Roundabout (turn point before Bankfoot Roundabout at the right turn towards the entrance to Ardgowan Estate) and back to Gourock Pool.

5Km Run - Gourock Pool to McInroy's Point (turn point before the exit road of the ferry terminal) and back to Gourock Pool.

Team entry = £63.00 per team of 3 participants

Adult Sprint Distance Triathlon Individual event:

Half Mile Swim (24 lengths)

10 Mile Cycle - Gourock Pool to Bankfoot Roundabout (turn point before Bankfoot Roundabout at the right turn towards the entrance to Ardgowan Estate) and back to Gourock Pool.

5Km Run - Gourock Pool to McInroy's Point (turn point before the exit road of the ferry terminal) and back to Gourock Pool.

Adult = £58.00

Junior Aquathlon (10 – 17-year-olds only):

Quarter Mile Swim (12 lengths)

3Km Run - Gourock Pool to Gourock Yacht Club (turn point before yacht club car park) and back to Gourock Pool.

Junior = £22.00

NEW FOR 2026! ADULT AQUATHLON:

Half Mile Swim (24 lengths)

5Km Run - Gourock Pool to McInroy's Point (turn point before the exit road of the ferry terminal) and back to Gourock Pool.

Adult = £48.00

Closing date for entries is Sunday 9th August 2026. Limited places available - first come first served basis. Entry to this event is at the competitors own risk. If you have any health concerns regarding participation in this event, seek professional medical advice prior to taking part. 

The event welcomes beginners, however, please note that there is a 45 minute swim time cap. This means that if you are still swimming at 45 minutes you will be stopped and asked to leave the pool to move onto the next phase of the race to allow the next heat to start.

Please also note that all cyclists must wear helmets on the cycle phase of the Triathlon.
