Organiser's Description

2021 Gnosall 10k

We regret to inform you that due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, we are postponing the 2020 Gnosall 10K which was due to take place on Saturday 13th June

All 2020 entries will automatically be entered for next year’s Gnosall 10K which will take place on Saturday 12th June 2021. On-the-day swaps will also be possible.

We would like to thank our amazing sponsors who have remained loyal to us and are happy to carry over their sponsorship to 2021. This invaluable sponsorship from local businesses covers the majority of the race costs and allows us to donate all profit from entry fees (which was over £3000 in 2019) to the Gnosall Carnival Fund which supports the community in various ways, including the upkeep of our historic 11th Century St Lawrence Church.

We will contact all entries next year nearer the time of the race but for further information please see our website www.gnosall10k.co.uk, follow us on Facebook for the latest updates www.facebook.com/gnosall10K or email us directly at hello@gnosall10K.co.uk

Most importantly right now, keep running as lone warriors, look after yourselves in these unsettled times, stay safe and keep smiling.

Best wishes,

Bob Middleton (Race Director) and the 10K organising team.

GLRC welcome you to the Gnosall 10K on 12th June 2021 at 10.30am

  • Gnosall Ladies Running Club are organising the 2020 Gnosall 10K for the fifth year and we look forward to welcoming you to Gnosall for our exciting, multi-terrain 10K (ish!) race.

  • Our friendly 10K race is open to runners of all abilities. All runners receive a fantastic technical t-shirt and a drawstring goody bag as their reward at the finish line. We also love randomly distributing our Prosecco spot prizes to worthy runners in an addition to the formal trophies for the first 3 men and ladies. To commemorate the tragic death of a young member of our community and former Gnosall 10K runner, Sam Myatt, we will also be awarding the ‘Sam Myatt Trophy’ to the fastest youngster (aged 15 to 20) on the day.

  • Starting at the Gnosall Family Sports Club (ST20 0EJ), the route incorporates the Shropshire Union Canal, local farmland, woodland area of Broadhill, the disused railway line and the ‘boardwalk’ through The Acres. The course is an undulating, multi-terrain 11.2K route through our beautiful surrounding countryside, arguably the most scenic race in Staffordshire. Check out the route

  • The Gnosall 10K has a UKA licence and is professionally chip-timed by JC Race Solutions

  • All profits from the Gnosall 10K go to the Gnosall Carnival Fund which contributes towards the village of Gnosall and upkeep of St Lawrence Church.

  • Whilst waiting for the runners to return, spectators can enjoy refreshments at the Gnosall Family Sports Club and children can have fun in the play area. We also have a number of local businesses providing additional refreshments in the form of hot sandwiches, cakes, cookies and tea and coffee. We also have a number of local business and sports providers displaying their wares in the start/finish line arena.

  • Runners can also enjoy a 10 minute pre or post-race sports massage from Apollo Sports Injury for the bargain price of £5 and Apollo are generously donating all proceeds to the Carnival Fund.

  • Upon completion of the race, runners can enjoy a well-deserved pint at the Sports Club which remains open until the evening.
