13 Jun 2026

Organiser's Description

The Gnosall Globetrotters welcome you to the 2026 Gnosall 10K(ish) and Fun Run on Saturday 13th June 2026 at the Gnosall Family Sports Club.

  • Gnosall 10K starts at 10:30am
  • Family Fun Run starts at 9:30am

Gnosall 10K (actually 11.2k!)

  • The Gnosall Globetrotters are organising the 2026 Gnosall 10K and we look forward to welcoming you to Gnosall for our exciting, multi-terrain 10K ish (actually 11.2km) race.
  • Our friendly 10K (ish!) race is open to runners of all abilities. All finishers receive a fantastic technical t-shirt and yummy goodies as their reward at the finish line. We also love randomly distributing our spot prizes to worthy runners of all abilities in an addition to the formal trophies for the first 3 men and ladies. To commemorate the tragic death of a young member of our community and former Gnosall 10K runner, Sam Myatt, we will also be awarding the ‘Sam Myatt Trophy’ to the fastest youngster (aged 20 or younger) on the day.
  • Starting and finishing at the Gnosall Family Sports Club (ST20 0EJ), the route incorporates the Shropshire Union Canal, local farmland, woodland area of Broadhill, the disused railway line and the ‘boardwalk’ through The Acres. The course is an undulating, multi-terrain 11.2K route through our beautiful surrounding countryside, arguably the most scenic race in Staffordshire. Check out the route
  • The Gnosall 10K has a UKA licence and is professionally chip-timed by JC Race Solutions
  • Whilst waiting for the runners to return, spectators can enjoy refreshments at the Gnosall Family Sports Club and children can have fun in the play area and bouncy castle. We also have a number of local business and sports providers displaying their wares in the start/finish line arena.
  • Upon completion of the race, runners can enjoy a well-deserved pint at the Sports Club which remains open until the evening
  • For information please see www.gnosall10k.co.uk, follow us on Facebook for the latest updates www.facebook.com/gnosall10K or email us directly at hello@gnosall10K.co.uk

  1. Where: The race starts and finishes at Gnosall Family Sports Club ST20 0JF
  2. Race start is at 10:30am
    • In order to avoid congestion on the route, the race will start in waves, with the speedy runners going first (anticipated finish of 50 minutes or less), then 60 minutes, 70 minutes and so on, with our final (and favourite wave) being “I just want to finish and get to the bar!
  3. The race is chip-timed by JC Race Timing so it doesn’t make any difference which wave you start in. You can visit JC after your race if you would like the official print out of your race time. Results will also be online later in the day: https://jcracetiming.uk/category/results/
  4. Car parking: There is no parking at the Club. Please park at Gnosall Health Centre (ST20 0GP), who are kindly opening their car park from 9am - 2pm for runners. Allow up to 10 minutes to walk from the Health Centre to the Sports Club.
  5. Registration will open from 9am. Please arrive in plenty of time, ideally by 9.45am, to collect your race pack (and queue for the portaloos!). Runners’ briefing is at 10:20am.
  6. The route is multi-terrain and incorporates the Shropshire Union Canal towpath, fields, woodland trails, farm tracks (please respect the farmers’ crops), the disused railway line and the boardwalk through The Acres. Please be prepared for this; it is a beautiful route however the terrain is uneven terrain and can be very muddy in places so tie those shoelaces tightly!  Check out the route
  7. HYDRATE!  Due to the time of year, it could potentially be a warm day so please hydrate well throughout the week leading up to the race. There are two water stations on the route however it is advisable to bring additional fluids on the day to avoid dehydration.
  8. The course is fully marshalled with 32 marshal points. Please heed the advice of marshals throughout the route regarding any potential risks or incidents and remember that all our marshals are lovely volunteers who have given up their Saturday morning to make this race possible. If you are injured, contact the nearest marshal and first aid assistance will come to you quickly.
  9. Bag drop: it will be possible to leave bags in the registration hut. However, it is not a manned bag drop so please do not leave valuables.
  10. Toilet facilities (portaloos) are in the Club car park. Please use the portaloos which are being provided for the race and not the toilets in the Club.

Runners who signed up before the end of March are able to choose their t-shirt size which will be marked on the race number. 12. Prizes: Trophies are awarded to the first 3 men and women and in memory of one of our former young Gnosall 10K runners Sam Myatt, we will also be awarding the ‘Sam Myatt Trophy’ to the fastest youngsters (aged 20 or younger) on the day.
