Organiser's Description

Presenting the second edition of the 4 X Paw Challenge!

This is a team challenge that covers 4 stages. The 4 stages will consist of 2 different lengths trails one being sprint which will also be used for juniors. Two stages will include a variation of the long course but with the ease of all 4 stages being at a single venue.
The challenge will be over 3 days and can be tackled with a pool of dogs per competitor, per class across the weekend.

A Musher's Meal meal voucher will be provided for each competitor on Saturday afternoon between races.

Adult Teams will be randomly picked by a live draw once entries close. The date of the draw will be announced on our Facebook page.
Passenger rig teams will be excluded from team up as there will already be two people to each team.

This early season event should be a great way to gauge your dog's fitness levels before the start of club championships or heading off to races outside of the UK.
We also appreciate temperatures at this time of year may not be ideal, however this has been the case most months over the last few race seasons. This will obviously be a huge consideration nearer the time and will dictate our final trail distances. We will not put dogs at risk as their welfare is first and foremost in our minds.

Adult classes will be:
4-8 dog passenger rig - 2 people per team (no unregistered passengers)
DR 6-8
DR 4-6
DR 2-4
DS 2
DS 1
DB 1
DCF 1
DCM 1
All the classes, except canicross will be split between Open, Nordic and Freight. Canicross will be a male/female split.

Young juniors 7-10 years canicross only (must be accompanied by appropriate adult)
Junior classes will be split into ages 11-14 years and 15-17 years.
Juniors will not be part of the random selection as this year the are competing as individuals.
The 15-17 years will do the full long course and the 11-14 will do the shorter course. We have added under 11's classes too of this season.
Juniors will compete in the Saturday and Sunday races.

Adult results will be best 3 out of 4, juniors will be best 2 out of 3.
