Marie Curie Kirkcaldy Easter Running Event - Ravenscraig Park
Sunday 5th April
Start Time: 12 Noon
Get ready to hop, skip and RUN into Easter with a fantastic event in the beautiful surroundings of Ravenscraig Park, Kirkcaldy, all in support of the incredible work of Marie Curie!
Together with Fife Athletics Club and proudly sponsored by Mathew Lafferty & SNIPZ
Barbershop Kirkcaldy, the event will be operating under Scottish Athletics Licence number ES014797
2 Mile Prediction Run – 12 Noon (Suitable for those 8 years and over)
Can you guess your EGGSACT time?
The runner closest to their predicted time takes the 1st prize!
No watches or phones are allowed. Predicted finish time must be submitted at sign-up.
Children’s 1 Mile Fun Run – 12.30pm
FREE entry. Donations are very welcome (and encouraged!) at bib collection.
Under 8s must run with a responsible adult. Please note this is not a timed event and results will not be published.
Both races will start near the Kirkcaldy & District Men’s Shed and head in an anticlockwise direction around the park.
Race memento:
All participants across both races will receive an Easter surprise goodie bag.
Water:
Please bring your own filled reusable water bottle to help us reduce single-use plastic.
Water will be available at Race HQ for emergency situations.
Registration & Number Collection:
From 11:00am – 11:45am at Kirkcaldy & District Men’s Shed
Please arrive in plenty of time — no late collections and no sign up on the day.
Results:
Results will be published for the prediction run only via the event page on Facebook.

Photos will be taken by Clicks&Giggles
Prize Giving:
Weather permitting, prize giving will take place in the large grassy area of the park following completion of the children’s fun run (approximately 12:50pm). Please check your pre-race email for full details - issued 24 hours ahead of the event.
Prizes:
Adults Prediction Run: 1st, 2nd & 3rd closest to predicted times
Children’s Fun Run: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Participants
Spot prizes on the day may include best costumes, fastest run and more surprises!
Accessibility:
Wheelchair participants are warmly welcomed.
First aid:
There will be a minimum of 2 dedicated first aiders available for the duration of the event. A defibrillator is located at the Kirkcaldy & District Men’s Shed.
Facilities:
Public toilets are available.
No bag drop or changing facilities — please come ready to run.
Large public car park at Ravenscraig as well as on-street parking available nearby -
please be considerate to residents

Terms & Conditions:
- All runners participate entirely at their own risk. The race organisers and associates shall not be liable for any accident, injury, loss or damage arising from participation.
- Participants confirm they are physically able to complete the mileage required for their race.
- Entries for participants under 18 must be made by a parent or legal guardian who are responsible for the individual at all times.
- If entering this race on behalf of another person, I am authorised by them to accept these Terms and Conditions on their behalf. I will also take the responsibility to ensure that they are aware of any further information provided about this race e.g. confirmation and race information emails.
- Age limits listed above must be adhered to.
- Submitting an entry authorises the organisers to use event photographs for promotional purposes. To opt out, please contact the race organiser directly.
- Unfortunately, we are unable to refund or defer applications, and cannot transfer applications to other runners. As a not-for-profit event, all funds raised go towards Marie Curie. As with all other runs, we receive many requests for cancellation, deferral and transfer, and the costs of administering these requests simply cannot be recovered. In the event that the race is cancelled due to circumstances out of our control (for example, due to adverse weather) we will endeavour to re-schedule the race and existing entrants will be eligible to race in any such rescheduled event, however, NO REFUNDS can be issued in these circumstances.
