Shetland AAC Simmer Dim Half Marathon, Scottish Athletics Licenced Event (Licence Pending)

Shetland AAC Simmer Dim Half Marathon is run under UK athletics rules, the route is an accurately measured 13.1 miles and made up of mainly roads finishing on athletics track. 

The Simmer Dim Half Marathon rules

• Runners taking part in the Half Marathon must be at least 17 years old on race day.
• It is essential that the Race Organisers abide by these age requirements in order that the appropriate insurances are not compromised.
• The course is unsuitable for wheelchairs.
• Running with buggies or pets is not permitted.
• In accordance with UK athletics rules, headphones are not allowed whilst running this course with the exception of bone conducting headphones which are approved for use in all road races under the UK athletics rules of competition. Anyone wearing in ear headphones will be disqualified.
• There will be a cut off time of strictly 3 hours  to allow for prize giving at 1:30.
• Runners will be required to reach Gulberwick in a time of 2 Hours 15 minutes to stay in race.

There are two options for signing up this year -

Entries will close Sunday 10th May 2026 if opting for t-shirt and medal.

No t-shirt/medal entries will close 12th June 2026.

Entries will close sooner if race is full.

Please note your number cannot be transferred to another runner. No refunds will be given unless the race is cancelled.
