We are delighted to announce that the Ayrodynamic Triathlon Club 10k Turkey Trot and 5k fun run has now returned for 2025. This event will be held in Ayr on Saturday the 27^th of December 2025 featuring two separate races which consist of a 10k road race and 5k fun run.

EVENT OVERVIEW

Whether you’re an experienced runner looking to set a new PB, go for the win or running is fairly new to you and you’re looking to set yourself a new challenge. Either way this is a fantastic opportunity to sign off on 2025 and get off to a flyer for 2026 in the right direction!

Race day will begin with a 5k fun run that’s ideal for all the family to take part in running a flat out and back in course set on Ayr beach front promenade then followed by a 10k road race run that starts and heads out along Ayr promenade beach front, heading for Doonfoot over the Millennium bridge then up to Greenan castle to the turn point and back in along the same course to the finish line.

ENTRY FEES

5k fun run £9 + booking fee, 10k £18 + booking fee [£16 + booking fee SAF members, (10km race is Scottish athletics permitted event under UK Athletics rules.) Race memento awarded upon finishing.

REGISTRATION & RACE NUMBER COLLECTION

New for 2025 will be the new HQ for registration. Registration and number collection will now be at ‘The Cutty-Sark Centre’ just at the bottom of Ayr High Street, 40 High Street Ayr, Ka7 1Pa. Further details can be found here: https://destinationsouthayrshire.co.uk/cutty-sark-centre/

There will be welfare facilities available at the Cutty-Sark before and after the race that you will be welcome to use but we please ask everyone that once you have registered and collected your race number to make your way to the starting line of the race. This is due to a limited capacity allowance within the premises. The race start line will be at the traditional start point on the cycle pathway at the Citadel Leisure centre, South Harbour St. Ayr, KA7 1JB. This is only a short 600m walk from registration.

Registration will be open from 8.30am

Both the 5km fun run AND the 10km road race will be PRE-ENTRY ONLY. Please tell your friends/club-mates.  Chip-timing will be used for both races.

Online entries will close at midnight 19th December 2025. Entry Central will show the races as 'Closed' after this time, strictly no entries after this date.

NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.

Car Parking is not provided, please familiarize yourself with the local area to utilise the available parking on offer.

RACE START: Citadel Leisure Centre

5KM START TIME: 9:30am

10KM START TIME: 10:30am

Please store your bags in your car. Race organisers left with bags will not be liable for any loss or damages. There are no changing or showering facilities on site.

The start/finish line is adjacent to the Citadel Leisure Centre

There will be no water stations on the run course, water will be provided at the finish line.

Safe, well marshalled route.

First aid and medical cover provided.

THE 10K RACE IS LICENSED BY SCOTTISH ATHLETICS and race officials will start the race and times will be recorded via chip timing.

PRIZES

There will be a small prize giving back at the Cutty-Sark HQ for first, second & third overall Open & Female categories for 10km race ONLY.

All finishers will receive a medal.
