Organiser's Description
FLETE 10K and FAMILY FUN DAY IS ORGANISED BY IVYBRIDGE ROTARY CLUB with the aim of providing a superb running experience in spectacular surroundings whilst raising money for our charitable causes, thanks to the kind permission of The Flete Estate. There are three races in total: 10k , 5k and 1k. This event will be held on Saturday 13 September 2025.
Set in the surroundings of the stunning Flete Estate (not normally open to the public), this is a multi-terrain race which will see participants running across track between open fields and then onto footpath as you run through shaded woodlands which follow the River Erme. A slight elevation to Holbeton village is followed by more track which loops around the estate, back down onto the riverside path and returning to the start.
Whether you're an experienced runner or looking for a race that will truly challenge you whilst running through impressive countryside, the Flete 10K (Blue Route) promises a memorable and rewarding experience for all who dare to take it on, as does the 5K (Yellow Route). The 1K fun run (two laps of the fenced cricket pitch (or one if preferred!)) is suitable for our younger sporting boys and girls. Participating children must be supervised by an adult as they run around the perimeter of the cricket pitch. The Cricket Pavillion will also serve as a 'safe place' for lost children.
Ivybridge Rotary are both excited and incredibly grateful for the opportunity run this event thanks to The Flete Estate and our sponsors:
HOWARD & OVER Solicitors
Manning & Co Independent Financial Advisors

For runners and spectators, there will be refreshments available for purchase on site from local businesses as well as information tents from our sponsors, a bouncy castle for the children and portaloos for public conveniences.
