Event Summary

The Pentland Triathlete Juniors Splash and Dash Aquathlon is a fun event for children between the ages of 8 and 16. It will take place in Forresters High School, 212 Broomhouse Road, Edinburgh EH12 9AE on Sunday 7th September 2025 at 1pm.

The event format is as a pool swim and then a run around the enclosed grounds of the school. Start times will depend on each athlete's age category and swim time which must be provided in advance and as accurately as possible for the relevant swim distance (please see table below).

The age groups and distances will be as per Triahtlon Scotland guidance as below:

Parking

Forrester High School is close to the Bankhead tram stop and is on several Lothian Bus routes. Limited parking is available on site. Please try and share lifts and where possible, please use public transport to get to and from the venue.

Registration

Registration will be signposted in the main sports hall of the Sports Centre and will open at 11am. Registration and the transition area will close at 12:30.

Facilities

Toilets and showers are available at the venue and there will also be food and refreshments available to buy.

First Aid cover will be provided on site.

Swim

When signing up, please provide as accurate a swim time as possible. We will use this time to work out which heat each athlete will swim in. Passing in the swim will only be allowed at the end of each length.
