^{MID ESSEX CASUALS present the 16th Scouting for boys and girls self navigation trail (no marshalls, GPX or route markings) of 13.1 6.6 or 4ml on Sunday July 20th 2025 from 9:30 at The Scout Hut, Church Road, Hatfield Peverel CM3 2LD  The 6.6ml will be admissable as one of the 2025 quarter marathon series events.}

Held under UK Athletics rules with TRA Permit 7254 - No dogs allowed.

Runners and Walkers welcome, minimum age for solo runners is 17 yrs. The hut will open for registration, toilets and staggered starts from 9:30am. Entry fee £8 affiliated or £10 unaffiliated, no refunds. Includes free post race ploughmans lunch and drink.

The route is mainly off road on footpaths, tracks and field edges with some short road sections (not suitable for spikes), a narrative will be supplied to each entrant, there are NO markings or marshalls, a self service drink stations will be provided at approx halfway in the 13 miler. First aid and defib available at the finish.
