Did someone say 10th year?! You bet ya!
Glenrothes Triathlon Club are back (and even better) this year with their 10th annual Duathlon hosted at Balbirnie Park.
What can you expect:
- 5K Run, followed by a 20K Bike finished with a 2.5K Run
- Marshalled courses for both run and cycle
- Relay & Individual options (so if you only fancy one discipline, you can couple up with someone who loves the other!)
- Event sanctioned by Triathlon Scotland 🏴
- Food by Balbirnie House for you and your friends / family [burgers & a hog roast available to purchase]
- A fun, friendly atmospheric event organised by GTC with you in mind! 🎉

LOCATION: Follow directions for Balbirnie Hotel and Balbirnie Park
TIME: Registration is 1715-1800 | Race Briefing is 1815 | Race Start 1830. Prize giving will be after last competitor finishes
RUN: Kick start your race with 2 loops of a 2.5k circuit, then finish your race with 1 loop of the 2.5k circuit. This is a scenic and safe setting within the park along aside the Golf Course
BIKE: This fantastic 20k route features both road and quiet country road terrain. For those who like a challenge you will put to the test with a climb up the Langside Quarry before returning to the park for your transition back to completing your final run loop

RELAY: Groups of 2 where Team Member One person will be completing both aspects of the RUN (7.5k total) and Team Member Two will undertake the BIKE (20k) course
TRANSITION: Located on lawn beside Balbirnie House Hotel
FACILITIES: Unfortunately there are changing no facilities within the park - so come prepared! Toilets are located within the Balbirnie House near the Lounge Bar
POST RACE: There will be fruit and water available - maybe some other surprises too on the night!
COST: £28 for an individual | £35 for relay team (Discount on first sold places available). As the race is sanctioned by Triathlon Scotland and ran under their rules you will require a Race Pass.
If you wish to join us but aren’t a member, there is an £8 surcharge (£2 for under 24 years) that is paid directly to British Triathlon (we do not impose or receive this fee, this is paid to British Triathlon) and this will be added upon checkout. This fee provides a Race Pass public liability insurance up to £15 million.

Prices
A British Triathlon Race Pass is required for participants who are not a British Triathlon Home Nation member. For this event, Race Pass costs are £2.00 (plus £0.08 service charge) for participants aged 24 and under, and £8.00 (plus £0.32 service charge) otherwise.
