Event: Sprint Triathlon

Swim: 750m pool based

Bike: 20k

Run: 5k

The Pool swim will be based in the Selkirk Leisure Centre, Selkirk. The swim order will be dictated in waves based on submitted ‘estimated swim times'. The transition will be sited in the car park adjacent to the pool. This event can also be completed by a relay team.

Ample parking is available at the Leisure Centre. The event’s bike run takes participants along the A708 to General’s Bridge into scenic Bowhill estate, then on to Ettickbridge End, over the “swire”, (a long and challenging climb) followed immediately by the tricky descent into the Yarrow valley. The route leads back on to the A708 and a fast section back towards Selkirk.

The run route is a flat, fast out & back route alongside the river before joining the A7 to Lindean and then the bridge over the River Tweed.
