Chesterfield Santa Fun Run & Walk

This Festival is in a testing state, and is not open for public sign-ups until the organiser has launched it.

Organiser's Description

Organised under ARC rules - Permit No: ARC/23/0645

The 1.5k course is 3.5 laps around the Cricket pitch. The 5k starts with a lap of the Cricket pitch then just over 4 laps on the outer path of the park  Both races finish in front of the Cricket Pavilion. 

This is a FUN RUN and therefore no finish line timings will be recorded. If competitors wish to record a time then they must do so on their own timing device.

Race start times are:

10:15 for the 1500m with a warm up session at 10:00

10:45 for the 5k with a warm up session at 10:30 

Santa suit is included in entry fee for under 16's, adults can choose an option to pay for Santa suit (unisex one size fits all) or choose to wear one of their own. Commemorative medal to all finishers. 

Entry Fees including a santa suit are as follows:

Adult aged 16 years plus - £13 with Santa Suit (£9 without)

Children Aged 11 - 15 - £8 with Santa Suit

Children Aged up to 10 - £6 with Santa Suit

Santa Suits will be available to collect from Ashgate Hospice, Unit 89/90 Storforth Lane Trading Estate, Hasland S41 OSN.

Collection times are Thursday 21 December and Friday 22 December between 10am and 1pm or Saturday 23 December between 9am and 1pm. If you cannot collect on this day then collect from the Cricket Pavilion at Queen's Park from 9am on the day. 

Those entrants providing their own Santa Suit please collect race number from the Cricket Pavilion from 9am on race day.

Race numbers kindly donated by The Derby Runner.

There is a limit of 600 entries and no entries will be taken on the day, closing date for online entries is  23rd December or when entry limit is reached. Please note that entry fees, once accepted are NOT refundable. 

Chesterfield Santa Fun Run HQ will be the Cricket Pavilion in Queen's Park on the day,  there are toilets and changing available. 

Chesterfield Santa Fun Run is supporting Ashgate Hospice and is listed on the JustGiving Events page. 

If you wou;ld like to start fundraising for your Santa Fun Run, go to www.justgiving.com/ashgatehospice and click ‘Fundraise for Us’, then you will be asked to log-in or sign up. Once you have done this is will ask you what you are doing, select ‘Taking Part in an Event’. Look for the Santa Fun Run on the list and select it. Fill in the details and you’re all set!
