The Avon County AA Championships will be held on Saturday 13 May 2023 under UKA Rules, Licence No. OUT 23/221.
The Closing date for entries is Sunday 7th May. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ALLOWED

Age Group Qualifications
U13 yrs 6/7 = 01/09/2010- 31/08/2012: U15 yrs 8/9 = 01/09/2008 - 31/08/2010: U17 yrs 10/11 = 01/09/2006 - 31/08/2008: U20 = 01/01/2004 - 31/08/2006.

Somerset AA has offered to host our Steeplechase Championships events, on Sunday 14th May at Yeovil. Avon Championships entrants will need to enter these events via the Somerset AA website. Avon medals will be issued, but not on the day: https://form.jotform.com/230246283842354 Somerset AA are also happy to accept non-Somerset guest athletes in their Championship hurdles events. |

Trials wil be limited to 4 with further rounds as long as they will not delay the start of the next long throw event. Maximun trials will be 6. |

We will do our best to stick closely to this timetable but it is dependent on entry numbers. A final detailed timetable will be available on the Avon AA website (www.avon-aa.org.uk) asap after the closing date for entries. It is your responsibility to check the time of your event and to arrive at least 40 minutes prior to this to collect your numbers. We reserve the right to withdraw events with only 1 competitor entered and will refund any entry fees for these events.
The U13 & U15 1500m CHAMPIONSHIP RACES may be held within a local Open meeting during the season. Entry for these races will be via the open meeting on line system. No entries will be allowed on the night for these 1500m races.
Qualification for finals:- If 2 heats 1st 3 and 2 on time; If 3 heats 1st 2 and 2 on time and if 4 heats winners and 4 on time.
Maximum number of events is 3 for U13s, U15s and U17s; 5 for U20s; and unlimited for Seniors.
In the horizontal jumps and throws U13, U15 & U17 competitors will be allowed four trials and U20 and Senior competitors will be allowed 6 trials.
Fees:
U13, U15, U17: £10 for first event; £2 for each subsequent event
(Avon AA championship medals will be awarded for first 3 Avon Qualified Athletes)
U20, Senior: £10 for first event; £2 for each subsequent event
(Avon AA championship medal will be awarded to the winning eligible athlete only)
We aim to present medals at intervals during the day. This will only be possible if sufficient help is forthcoming. A lesser option is to have a medals desk where medals may be collected or without help medals will be distributed after the meeting to clubs for their members.
