This Festival is in a testing state, and is not open for public sign-ups until the organiser has launched it.

Jedburgh Half Marathon road race

A big welcome to the 18th running of the Jedburgh Half Marathon road race! 

Race date and time: Sunday 29th October, 11:00am

Location: Lothian Car Park, Jedburgh (TD8 6JQ)

Entry limit: 1000

Entry fee: £25.00 (£23 for members of ScottishAthletics)

The race route is basically an out-and-back. Starting on the A68 opposite the Abbey, the route goes north along the A68, turns right up past Woodend and the back of Riverside, then east along the A698 towards Kelso. At around 4 miles, there is a small detour off the main road past Crailing church; the route then continues east along the A698 towards Kelso. At around 6 miles, the route turns right into Eckford then loops back towards the A698 to start the return journey. Runners will travel west along the A698 towards Bonjedward then south along the A68 towards Jedburgh, to finish on the grass by the river opposite Queen Mary's house. There are four water stations along the route, at approximately 3 miles, 6 miles, 8 miles and 10 miles.

All runners have the option of buying a race t-shirt - high quality technical fabric

in specific male and female sizes.

All finishers will receive a commemorative medal.

As last year Jedburgh Running Festival is LGBT friendly and are pleased to announce that

Scottish Athletics now recognise the need to allow us to have a third gender category.

We now have a Non-Binery category for runners to enter.

Race registration is in the town hall from 09:00am. Remember that you will have to collect your race number and timing chip on the day, so please give yourself plenty of time for this. Please bring a note of your race number to help speed up registration. Race numbers will be emailed out to all runners and will be available on the Festival website approximately a week before the event.

Please remember that the A698 from Kelso will be shut from 10:00am

Also please be aware that the public car parks in town fill up well in advance of the race start, and on street parking is limited.

Car parking: Canongate Car Park, Lothian Park Car Park and overflow car park 200 mts South of Lothian Park.

 

There are seperate male and female communal changing and showering facilities

for all runners at Jed Thistle Rugby Club (off Lothian Car Park)

Private changing and showering facilities are available for runners

who do not with to use the communal ones.

 

 

When registering and paying via EntryCentral there is also the opportunity to make a donation to our 2022 chosen charity Cancer Research UK .

 

Please note: Closing date for entries will be Wednesday 26th October or earlier if the race limit is reached. In common with other events no refunds can be made and no deferrals are possible. Once entered it is not possible to change from one race to another via EntryCentral. There will be no entries on the day and early entry is advised. Late manual entries will incur a £10 surcharge. Non-return of timing chips immediately after the race will incur a £5 surcharge.

Jedburgh 10K road race

A big welcome to the tenth running of the Jedburgh 10K road race!

Race date and time: Sunday 29th October 2023, 11:00am

Location: Lothian Car Park, Jedburgh (TD8 6JQ)

Entry limit: 1000

Entry fee: £18.00 (£16.00 for members of ScottishAthletics)

The race route is basically an out-and-back. Starting on the A68 opposite the Abbey, the route goes north along the A68, turns right up past Woodend and the back of Riverside, then east along the A698 towards Kelso. There is a 180 degree turnaround at the 5K point. The return is back along the A698 towards Bonjedward then south along the A68 back towards Jedburgh, to finish on the grass by the river opposite Queen Mary's house. A map of the route can be found on the Running Festival website. 

There are two water stations along the route, at approximately 4.5 and 5.5K. You will also pass them om return. Water will also be available at the finish.

 

Please note that the 10K and half marathon start at the same time and travel in the same direction. At the 5K turnaround point, the half marathon runners will be continuing on along the A698 towards Kelso. The turnaround will be signposted and marshalled, so please remember to pay attention at this point and obey marshals' instructions.
