PLEASE NOTE: If you are already signed up the the OCR Coaching block starting 22nd Aug then you are already on the entry list for the 3km. You don't need to enter again. You can, however use this page to enter the competitive 400m if you wish.

3km Event

The Fit Body Farm 3km Obstacle Course Race will take place on Saturday 3rd October at our award winning venue

The event is open for everyone from 5yrs upwards with open and competitive divisons as follows...

- 3km Competitive 14+ yrs (3km UK Series and Scottish OCR Series)

- 3km Competitive 10-13 yrs

- 3km Open Fun Wave - 5 yrs up to Adults (under 10's need to accompanied by an adult)

The Course

The course is at the same venue as Tartan Warrior and will include approximately 25 exciting obstacles with some new obstacles and challenges from last years event.

It will be run on a mixture of fields, short hills, burns (aka streams) and trails. You will be crawling, jumping, climbing and swinging your way around.

400m 

We have a fantastic, fast and free flowing 400m course with 12 obstacles.

Runners age 10 yrs+ have the opportunity to double up and take part in these exciting race after their 3k

You'll get 1 timed run of the 400m course before semi finals and finals.

(This counts towards the UK Sprint series for those doing it).

OCR Series / Competitive Divisions

This is the final race in the 3km OCR UK Series and Scottish OCR Series

The 400m is part of the OCR Sprint UK Speed series

Anyone can take part in competitive races but to have your results counted towards a series, athletes are required to be a British Obstacle Sports Member

For Youth (10-17 yrs) age groups are based on your age on Race Day

For Adults (18+) Age Groups are based on your age on December 31st, 2026

Marshalling, Timing and Penalties (Competitive Only)

Whilst we may have some dedicated marshals, athletes will be asked to act as running marshals for each other eg female athletes marshal males athletes and vice versa. We appreciate your assistance with this. 

For our 3km competitive divisons, athletes will start with those in the same divison

Each runner will have a marshal accompanying them around the course, timing them, keep them right on obstacle order and marking any penalties.

Obstacles will be either mandatory or single attempt with penalties will be in the form of a 1 minute time penalty for each obstacle failure which will be added to runners total time at the end.

Prizes

In the 3km they'll be finisher medals just for fun runners

In the 3km and 400m we will have podium prizes for competitive divisions 

Depending on entry numbers, divisions will either be 10-13 yrs, 14-39, 40+ OR 10-13, 14+

10.45am - Competitive Open Practice

11.15am - 3km Competitive Females 14 yrs +

12pm - 3km Competitive Males 14 yrs +

12.45pm - 3km Competitive Females and Males 10 - 13 yrs

1.30pm - 3km Podiums

1.45pm - 400m Male and Female 10 yrs +

3.15pm - 400m podiums

3.30pm Finish

Facilities

Toilet facilities and showers are available on site. 

By entering, you agree to the following conditions

1.     All participants must wear appropriate clothing and footwear (strictly no football boots or spikes). It is also important to bring a change of clothing and footwear for after the event as you do get wet and muddy. There are no shower facilities.

2.     Participants take part at entirely their own risk and the organisers will not be liable for any injury before, during or after the event.

3.     Participants under the age of 16 cannot enter without parent/guardian's permission.

4.     Entry Fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another race date.

5.     There will be a £5 fee for entry transfers to another person.

6.     By entering, participants declare that they are physically fit and have sufficiently trained for this event and waive and renounce any rights and claims for damages they may have against Fit Body Farm Ltd or OCR Ayrshire Ltd.

7.     Adverse weather conditions on the day may cause the race to be rescheduled.

8.     Photographs and filming maybe be done at this event and by entering you consent to this and their use by Fit Body Farm and their partners.
