Join us for the Newmarket Duathlon, a challenging course set in the scenic Cambridgeshire countryside!
The Newmarket Duathlon features a flat run course, partly on and off-road, alongside a secure transition area and a multi-lap undulating road cycling course. With a limit of 150 participants, this race is well marshaled and suitable for both novice and experienced athletes. It is also excellent for spectators and supporters.
All finishers will receive medals, and prizes will be awarded to the top three males and females. Chip timing will be provided, and on-site facilities include separate male and female toilets, changing rooms, and showers.
Online entries close at midnight on September 1st, 2024. There will be no on-the-day entries accepted. Entry fees are £38 for British Triathlon members and £46 for non-members, which includes a day pass.
The sprint distance comprises a 2.5-mile run, 14-mile bike ride, and another 2.5-mile run, with a minimum age requirement of 18.
The race will be conducted under BTF rules, and a copy will be available at the event for reference. Please ensure you arrive in good time before your start to prepare, and a course map will be provided at registration.
The Ellesmere Centre, Ley Road, Stetchworth, Newmarket, Cambridgeshire, CB8 9TS, serves as the race headquarters, and we kindly ask participants to respect these excellent facilities.
Registration opens at 8:00 am on the day of the event. Don't forget to bring a race belt to attach your race number.
The race commences at 10:00 am, starting and finishing at the same venue. Participants will receive their race number at registration and a medal upon completion of the event.
We will adhere to British Triathlon rules/guidance. In the event of cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances, entry fees will be refunded.
For British Triathlon members, please remember to bring your membership card to validate the race license discount. Failure to present it will result in a supplement of £8 for a day license.
