Hidden Peak: Maidencraig Madness ⛰️🔥

Get ready for one of our toughest and most rewarding hill sessions yet! Maidencraig Madness is all about strength, resilience, and embracing the challenge of continuous hill running.

We'll start with a longer warm-up jog from Hazlehead Car Park, taking us to the base of the hills. Once there, we'll complete some dynamic drills and mobility work to prepare for the session ahead.

The main set is a 15-minute continuous hill challenge. The group will split between the two hills, with half starting on one side and half on the other. Run strongly to the top of the hill, turn around, and jog back down under control. As soon as you reach the bottom, you'll tackle the opposite hill, alternating sides each time. There are no standing recoveries here; your jog back down is your recovery, making this a fantastic workout for building hill strength, endurance, and mental toughness.

After a short break to regroup and recover, we'll move on to a more explosive section of the session:

6-8 x 30-second hill sprints with a walk-back recovery.

These shorter efforts focus on power, speed, and running technique. Push hard on each repetition, drive your arms, and attack the hill before enjoying a full recovery walk back down.

We'll then finish the evening with a cool-down jog back to Hazlehead Car Park, followed by stretching to aid recovery and leave everyone feeling strong after a challenging session.

This session is all about embracing the hills, pushing your limits, and encouraging those around you. Whether you're grinding through the continuous efforts or attacking the hill sprints, expect plenty of hard work, determination, and team spirit.

Come prepared for a little bit of madness and a whole lot of climbing! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️⛰️💪

Maidencraig Madness: What goes up must come down... and then go straight back up again! 😅🔥⛰️
