TRA Permit: TBC

This is a new event.  Not only does it give you chance to get your headtorches out and enjoy the countryside (and a drink at the pub at the finish) it is also raising money for Whizz Kidz charity.  £2 from your entry fee goes to the cause and you are encouraged to follow link for your own personal donations and to offer our regular participant Clare Lawrence words of support as she embarks upon training for her debut marathon!

There are is a £2 levi for non TRA/UKA members.

Parking is available in the public car park on the opposite side of the village green, down by the duck ponds.  Please car share as much as possible.  It's a 5 minute walk to he venue.  There is a bus services from Chelmsford to Writtle that you will need to google!  (Alternatively cycle over and lock your bike up in the beer garden with ours.)

Highly advisable to downloaded the narrative from our website and use the GPX file that we will email you a couple of days prior to the event to download to garmin devices etc. 

There is little to zero signage out on route. This is a 100% self sufficent event.  There is a tail runner.  Their mobile number at the bottom of the narrative who will be happy to keep you company.

Compulsary equipment:  Your phone (with the number provided on this entry system) Head torch.

Advisable equipment:  High vis' clothing or something reflective.  Water proof clothing etc if the weather is poor. Warm clothing for the beer garden.  Half the garden is under cover, so you can leave bags there with us at your own risk.  Other than that, you're old enough to look after yourselves!  Please do not walk mud into the pub!

Collect your race number from 18:00. It's 2 min walk to the start area for a mass start from 18:30. 

At the finish, register your arrival with our timer first!  Then head to to bar, hand your race number in and receive a pint, glass of wine, soft drink or a hot drink.  (The venue is offering food too.  See the sign up form if you would like to order in advance.)
