ESC Yorkshire 2026

29 May 2026 - 31 May 2026

Organiser's Description

Welcome to the payment page for our Yorkshire club trip! Link to the accommodation is below, there is a pool table and a sauna!

Bunk-style self-catering accommodation, Littondale, Yorkshire Dales (haltongillbunkbarn.co.uk)

40 places, so it will be a big one! Sport climbing, trad climbing or hiking. The hut is close to Giggleswick crag, but exact details will be decided closer to the time.

People are free to spend the weekend however they would like!

ESC recommends only belaying with assisted breaking devices and carrying a personal first aid kit.
Also, there is a crag safety sheet which all club members should read before climbing on a club trip.

Costs

For insurance reasons, these trips are aimed at ESC members and for that reason, they will have been emailed a discount code. If you are not a member and try to use the code, your ticket will be invalidated by us and give me a headache, so please don't! The discount code only works for one person at a time, so if you want to pay for multiple people with a code, just buy one ticket at a time. If you joined after that email went around, please message a committee member for the code.

If you're not a member of the club, you count as a prospective member for insurance reasons (i.e., are covered) for the first three months since you first did a club activity. If you've been coming on club trips for longer than that, you'll need to join up to come. The link for that is here: Entrycentral.com/esc

The breakdown of the costs is as follows:

2 nights ESC member - £40 (2026 discount code)

2 nights NON member - £50

Code of Conduct

ESC reserves the right to remove anyone from a trip who is overly antisocial. Fights, abusive language, theft, inappropriate or aggressive behaviour and harassment will not be tolerated. Anyone asked to leave a trip by the committee should do so without disturbance, and failure to do so may result in suspension from further trips. If you feel uncomfortable at any point during a trip, please reach out to a committee member. Trips are a fun and safe space where everyone should be able to have a good time and feel comfortable. Good vibes only ✌️

Transport

Make sure you add yourself to the WhatsApp group for this trip to arrange car sharing. The process for car sharing is as follows: if you can offer a lift, then post on WhatsApp where you live and how many spaces you have. Costs are set by the driver and split between everyone in the car.

Any questions, please let us know.
