Organiser's Description

DENWOOD AT HAZLEHEAD 

This week we'll be using the paths and trails at Denwood on the southern side of Hazlehead Park to work on your speed endurance.  After the usual warm-up routine, the session will start with a couple of sustained tempo efforts on a trail which winds its way gradually uphill into the woods. We'll then pair off into teams of 2 evenly matched runners for a relay held on an undulating 500m loop for a set period of time. And we'll finish off with a slightly downhill sustained effort on the same trail we used at the start.

This is an all inclusive session suitable for all runners. 

This session  contains our usual winning formula which provides a challenging running workout within a fun and relaxed environment.

We'll kick off with a light jog,some gentle activation exercises and a few strides - all designed to get you properly warmed up before tackling the core part of the session. The workout finishes with a slow cooldown jog and optional post-run exercises.

We are a friendly group and always keen to help newcomers - so come along  - and bring a friend.

Coaching, encouragement and good advice will be on hand throughout.

There's ample free parking and our meeting point will be the Hazlehead Park main car park at the tip of the running track.

Please arrive ready to start at 6pm. The whole session,including warm-ups/cool down and exercises, lasts approx one hour.
