FORRES HARRIERS  10k 2026

 Incorporating North District 10k Championships

SATURDAY, 09 May - 11.30 start

Welcome to the Forres Harriers 10k for 2026, please read your race notes thoroughly to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable race.

Starting on the road at Waterford Industrial Estate, the course is a flat and fast course.  The course is  slightly different to previous years with amended start and finsh. (new course in 2023) For safety reasons and road conditions this course is not suitable for wheelchair users. 

Registration: Will take place from 9.45 hrs to 11:00 hrs in Forres House Community Centre in the High Street. There is a walk of about 20 minutes to the start.

IMPORTANT NOTE the walk across the railway crossing is no longer open.   People who are going to the start need to walk over the new road bridge to the left of the railway station to go to the start.  There is also a small bridge at the railway station. Please take care crossing the very busy A96.

Race Briefing: There will be a race safety brief at the race start to go over any safety issues and answer any questions. Please follow all instructions from race officials as they are there to ensure your safety. The roads on the race route are NOT closed for this event so be aware of other road traffic. They are rural roads and narrow in places so for that reason:

HEADPHONES OF ANY TYPE ARE NOT TO BE WORN DURING THE RACE.

This is a requirement for our insurance with Scottish Athletics. Anyone seen wearing headphones of any type will be removed from the race and race results.  (this includes ALL headphones due to the nature of the roads used and is stated in our risk assessment submitted to SA and Police). 

Start Time: The race will start promptly at 11.30 hrs 

Water Stops: There will be no water station on the course. Please arrive hydrated or bring your own drinks.

Toilets: Very limited at the start/finish line 

Prize Giving: Around 1pm in Forres House Community Centre 

Prize Categories: Tropies (and £50, £40, £30 respectively) for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female finishers.

Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female finishers in the following age categories: V40,V50,V60 and 1st in over 70.

Refreshments: Available to purchase at the Forres Coffee House in the Forres House Community Centre 

General Information:

There are N0 PARKING FACILITIES at the start surrounding roads. i.e the start and finish area. DO NOT take your vehicle to the start area. Inconsiderate parking could threaten the future of the event.   

Please park in the many free Forres town car parks and walk across to the race venue. 

Online Entry and Entry Fees:  These are available only online at Entry Central.  

Entry fees are £15 SAL and £18 unattached.

No entry on the day.

Entries will close at midnight 06 May 2026 EntryCentral will show the race as 'Closed' after this time or if max field of 150 reached.
