Wiltshire 10

This 10 mile event starts and finishes in King George V Playing Field in Melksham. The route then leads you out to the picturesque village of Lacock.

This will be the 1st year for me and I hope to continue a successful event that Darren at Stampede Sports has produced and hosted over the last 13 years.

Toilets.

Refreshments will be available to purchase.

2x Water stations. 3. 5-miles and 7-miles,

First aid cover and fully insured.



PARKING

There are several council car park in Melksham, see https://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/article/2356/Parking-in-Melksham There will be no parking at the Wiltshire Youth Canoe Club, King George V Playing Field. Please think about car sharing and courteous to other competitors and locals.

 

START / FINISH

The Wiltshire 10 starts at 10:00 in King George V Playing Field. There will be a short briefing before the race for your safety. Please obey the instructions from the marshals at all times.

 

RESTRICTIONS

All runners must be aged 16 and over on the day of the race. No dogs allowed. No roads have been closed. We regret that the course is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. Headphones / bone conduction headphones are not permitted, please do not break these rules, this is for everybody’s safety.  Places are limited, so please book early and we look forward to seeing you. Race entries are open till 1st February 2026 or will close earlier if the race limit is reached. There will be no entries on the day.



REGISTRATION

Registration is from 08:30 to 09:30 am where you can collect your race number. Registration is in the Wiltshire Youth Canoe Club, King George V Playing Field, Melksham SN12 7ED.



RACE NUMBERS

Your race number should be secured to the front of your top using safety pins. Your number must be clearly visible when you finish the race.
