Organiser's Description

Welcome to the next edition of our guided runs

This month we will make our way to the western side of the moor.

This 11 mile (approx) route will start in the centre of Peter Tavy village, next to the church.

Parking is limited in the village so please car share were possible.

The route follows good trods/tracks and a limited amount of tarmac. The going is generally good although the first mile and a half is gently uphill.

On the route, we will take in Stephen's Grave, a Neolithic settlement on White Tor, one of the few that isn't Granite, the Bronze Age Langstone on the way east, before turning north west to the River Tavy, and back to Peter Tavy via a leat, and a quick climb up to Smeardon Down.

Trail shoes are a must.

Those wanting a lift share can meet me in Tavistock Beford square at 0800. I have 8 seats available. Just let me know if you want a lift.
