We are delighted to announce the Ayrodynamic Triathlon Club Turkey Trot 10k Road Race will be held in Ayr on Sunday the 27^th of December 2026 at 10:30am.

EVENT OVERVIEW

Whether you’re an experienced runner looking to set a new PB, going for the win or running is fairly new to you and you’re looking to set yourself a new challenge this is a fantastic opportunity to sign off on 2026 and get 2027 off to a flyer! 

The race day will be a 10k road race run that starts at and heads out along Ayr promenade beach front, heading for Doonfoot over the Millennium bridge then up to Greenan castle to the turn point and back in along the same course to the finish line.

ENTRY FEES

£20 + booking fee [£18 + booking fee SAF members, (10km race is Scottish athletics permitted event under UK Athletics rules, minimum age - 15 years old on the event date) Race memento included.

REGISTRATION & RACE NUMBER COLLECTION

Same as 2025  the  HQ for registration will be the Cutty-Sark Centre which will house registration, you will collect your race number & Timing Chip. Each competitor must attend registration in person to collect their race number and timing chip - no collecting for other competitors. There will be welfare facilities available at the Cutty-Sark before the race that you will be welcome to use but we please ask everyone that once you have registered and collected your race number to make your way to the starting line of the race. This is due to a limited capacity allowance within the premises. The 10K race start line will be at the traditional start point on the cycle pathway (Canon) at the Citadel Leisure Centre, South Harbour St. Ayr, KA7 1JB. This is only a short 600m walk from registration. The finish line is just beyond the Canon path on the beach promenade heading towards the harbour.

Registration will be open from 9:00am and will close at 10:00am with the 10k road race commencing at 10:30am. 

10km road race will be PRE-ENTRY ONLY. Please tell your friends/club-mates.  Chip-timing will be used.

Online entries will close at midnight 19th December 2026. Entry Central will show the races as 'Closed' after this time, strictly no entries after this date.

NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.

CAR PARKING

Car Parking is not provided, please familiarize yourself with the local area to utilise the available parking on offer.

RACE START: Citadel Leisure Centre

10KM START TIME: 10:30am (registration closes at 10am)

Please store your bags in your car. Race organisers left with bags will not be liable for any loss or damages. There are no changing or showering facilities on site.

The start line is adjacent to the Citadel Leisure Centre next to the big Canon with the finish line being on the beach front promonade heading for the Harbour.

There will be no water stations on the run course, water will be provided at the finish line.

Safe, well marshalled route.

First aid and medical cover provided.

THE 10K RACE IS LICENSED BY SCOTTISH ATHLETICS, race officials will start the race and times will be recorded via chip timing.

PRIZES

There will be a small prize giving post race at the race finish line next to the harbour for first, second & third overall Open & Female categories.
