The White Horse Gallop is a 12K (ish) challenging run along bridle paths and along the Imber Range. Then you get super close to the Westbury White Horse. 

I am proud to have been given the opportunity to take over this fantastic race that Stampede Sports started back in 2010. This is the 12th year and I am really pleased to continue the great work that Darren has done so far. 1st year for me :-)

PARKING

Car parking is limited at Leighton Recreation Centre BA13 3PT. There is a pay and display on Warminster Road opposite the petrol station BA13 3PE. This is a ten minute walk to the start. Please be courteous to other competitors and to local residents. Please think about car sharing.

START / FINISH

Race starts at 10.30 at Leighton Recreation Centre, Wellhead Lane, Westbury, BA13 3PW. There will be a short briefing before the race for your safety. Please obey the instructions from the marshals at all times.

RESTRICTIONS

White Horse Gallop is open to runners over the age of 16 years on the day of the race. No dogs allowed. This is for everyones safety.

Places are limited to 200, to avoid disappointment please book early and we look forward to seeing you there. Race entries are open till 1st October 2025 or will close earlier if the race limit is reached. There will be no entries on the day.

REGISTRATION

Registration is from 09:00 to 10.00am where you can collect your race number.

RACE NUMBERS

Your race number should be secured to the front of your top using safety pins. Your number must be clearly visible when you finish the race.
