The evening of longest daylight hours offers spectacular views across the Dartmoor landscape.  Okay, so we are three days early this year but hey? The race was conceived as an introduction to the Fell Running ethos for local runners and has become so much more.  It is organised by endurance runners for those that enjoy off road running.  It is a not for profit event and many funds raised are ploughed back into the following year.  The event starts and finishes at Merrivale and takes in stunning countryside including Staple Tor, Roos Tor and White Tor.  

The junior runs commence at 6pm and are free to enter on the day.  There is no requirement to sign up beforehand.  The route is marked, and easy to follow.   Entries for these races will close 20 minutes before the start of the race.  Prize giving will be at 7.15pm.  Please complete your entry forms at registration:-

2k route races from age 8 to 9 years, and age 10 to 12 (ages are as at the date of the event)

4.5k route races from 13 to 14 years, and age 15 to 17 years (ages are as at the date of the event)

The senior 9.5k (18+) race starts at 7.00pm.  Participants are expected to be competent at navigating in all potential Dartmoor weather conditions.  We would prefer runners to enter online in order to guarantee a place. If there are places left you may wish to enter on the day at registration.  Pre Entry fee is £5 (£1 discount for Fell Running Association members).   On the day enrtries priced at £10 cash.

It would assist the organisers greatly if you could bring the correct money.  Numbers are limited to 200.  Online entry closes 17th June 2025. Entries are not transferrable.  There will be a wide range of age group categories in 10 year increments, ages again as at the day of the event).  The route will be marked in places in order to avoid ground nesting birds and the firing range.  We reserve the right to abandon or shorten the course on the day in the event of bad weather.  Please wear adequate clothing.  Prize giving for the senior event will be at 8.30pm.

Car parking will be available for £1 donation.  Please bring your own water bottle.
