FAST FEET IN FEBRUARY
Let's get the heart pumping and the legs turning over by tackling our super speed session on the traffic-free Hazlehead running lanes on Tuesday 11 February. This workout will certainly help inject some decent pace into your runs and remove any winter cobwebs. It's an ideal way to get your preparations for the big Spring race season on track, whether your aiming for a 5k, a marathon ...or even longer!
This is a session for runners of all paces and no matter your level, we are sure this session will help you improve. You'll be in a highly supportive group of enthusiastic runners with no pressure to do anything other than enjoy the challenge .
We'll be bashing out a series of repetitions with the following session:
10x1min fast with 1min recovery.
6x30secs fast with 30secs recovery.
And we'll finish off with a 3-person 100m relay.
This workout is suitable for ALL RUNNERS. Everyone is treated equally and no-one is left on their own.
This session contains our usual winning formula which provides a challenging but manageable running workout within a fun and relaxed environment.
We'll kick off with a light jog,some gentle activation exercises and a few strides - all designed to get you properly warmed up before tackling the core part of the session. The workout finishes with a slow cooldown jog and optional post-run exercises.
We are a friendly group and always keen to help newcomers - so come along - and bring a friend.
Coaching, encouragement and good advice will be on hand throughout.
There's ample free parking and our meeting point will be the Hazlehead Park main car park at the tip of the running track.
Please arrive ready to start at 6pm. The whole session,including warm-ups/cool down and exercises, lasts approx one hour.

Participants are strongly advised to consult a doctor before undertaking any strenuous exercise or training programme.
