Race Description:

Glenmore 24 is a 12/24hr trail race held in the Glenmore forest outside Aviemore in the Scottish Highlands.

Situated near Loch Morlich the location is stunning and completely off road on forest trails. The route is a 4mile loop starting at the Hayfield then heading out on to the forest trails passing Loch Morlich. The main race route is in full operation for 12/24hr hour with an option at 11/23hr to join a small 400m loop for the last hour. its worth noting that if you start a 4mile loop and dont complete it with the 12/24hr time, the distance will not be recorded. All 400m loops are counted and recorded using a measuring wheel.

The Hayfield will be set up as a runners wellfare area. Runners aid station can be set up around the perimeter tap where the runners crew can service them on each lap. Due to covid 19 the following will be in place 12hr runners will be allowed 1 crew member, 24hr runners will be allowed 2 crew members. 

The race start at 12 luchtime on Saturday 3rd September 2022 and will finish 12 lunchtime on Sunday the 4th September 2022.

Its a runners responsibility to inform their support crew of all information within the race briefing which is sent out 3 weeks before the race.. "I didnt know" is not an excuse.

Weather Note: 

Please note this event is run in the Scottish Highlands in September where the weather can be harsh and unforgiven there will be a mediatory and recommended kit list issued with the race briefing. Past years have seen temperatures drop to between -2 and -5 in 2019..

Covid 19:

Rocket Events/Glenmore 24 will be run under a Scottish Athletics Race Licence which means we will be following all rules-protocol-processes and guidance for covid 19 in place at the time of the event. You are asked not to enter the event if you are unwilling to follow the rules-protocol-processes that are in place on race day.

These rules are in place to protect all (Runners/Support Crew and Marshals).

Refund Policy.

• After entry a 30 day cooling off period will apply, withdrawal in this peroid will result in a £15 admin charge being applied.
• Withdrawal after after 30 days will result in a 50% refund being offered up until 12 weeks before race day.
• 12 weeks to race day no refund will be offered.
• No deferrals.
• No race place transfers between runners.
